How to Recycle Your Content

Everyone says it, reuse your content, don’t waste time creating more than you have to, right? But then your mind gets stuck in a whirlwind of, how do I reuse it? Won’t they notice? How do I turn a video into blogs and posts and reels? Here’s what you need to do to turn one piece into multiple.

  • Pull out the golden nuggets from every caption that you write. What’s the bulk of the caption, the real juicy part that your audience gained something from? Pull that out and expand on it for a blog post then film yourself with a trending sound and expand on it for a reel.

  • Relisten to any interviews that you do, pull out quotes, answers to questions, and anything else that can be turned into shorter content. Convert that to videos, captions and blogs.

  • Spend time reading and researching. Instead of scrolling through social media, find useful news articles, updated statistics for your industry, and more so that you can continue your education. Never stop learning.

  • Listen to your audience. If they’re asking you questions or for advice (how to style a product, how to feel more confident, etc) save those in a file and write full blogs answering them.

  • Play along. There are constantly trending songs and hashtags on Instagram and Pinterest. Create content that’s timely and relevant from time to time.

There you have it - five ways to recycle your content and diversify it to maximize your reach with just one piece. The ultimate goal is to figure out what your audience wants to see most of, and share more of that while spending less time constantly creating new content.
