How to Stop Comparing Yourself.

We’ve all done it. Let me rephrase that… we all DO it.

We scroll through Instagram, see the highlights of peoples lives and businesses, and wonder, why can’t we have that? The real question we should be asking is why do I care?

No really. Why do we care?

So often we get caught up dreaming about what we could have instead of appreciating what we do have.

Here are three things to help you stop comparing.

Stop that mindless scroll.

The more you scroll the more you lose creativity and feel like you’re losing time. That lost time is taking away from what really matters - your family, your business productivity, and things you actually love.

Journal.

Create weekly prompts for yourself. What are you grateful for? What is weighing you down? What did you accomplish this week? What do you want to accomplish in the week ahead? These will help you keep track of your personal development and feel grateful.

Connect with others.

See someone that you “want to be like”? Perfect, DM them. Why? Because it’ll help you realize that they’re a real person just like you and their life is probably pretty dang similar to yours! Don’t be afraid to just be human and realize everyone has bad days, even when they don’t showcase them.

How does the constant comparison weigh you down? What are you going to do to break away from it? Let me know in the comments below!
