What to Change When You’re Not Seeing Follower Growth

I see you. Tracking the numbers every week, connecting your self worth to your follower amount, and wondering what the heck you’re doing wrong.

Listen, I get it. I like seeing my followers grow but I value community more and that’s the key to getting that follower number up. If you feel like you’ve hit a stand still with your Instagram account and need to get new eyeballs on your page, here’s what you can do.

Here’s What to Do

First, be clear on your ideal client. Do you know their interests, their income, their goals, and their struggles? If you don’t understand them you will not attract them.

Next, think about your content. You need to select your six topics that you constantly rotate through on your Instagram page. These topics can include your why/about you, your services offered, education, inspiration, and much more. What you need to think about is staying consistent and staying relevant.

Third, put in time. Yupp, time. In order to connect with new people who may potentially become leads, you need to actually build relationships. Don’t be afraid to follow and DM. Too often we’re afraid to make the first move (that’s life right?), but when it comes to the online space, you have to be willing to reach out and be the first one. (Wait, is this like dating?)

Fourth, show up on stories. Anyone new who visits your page will watch your stories to see your personality. If you have nothing on there, they’ll likely just move on because they didn't’ get to know you quick enough! So get your face on camera and bring them along day to day.

Last, make sure you are implementing outside strategies like guest speaking in Facebook groups and offering free resources that you also share on Pinterest. This will help you tap into a wider audience that will offer huge audience growth potential.

So, are you ready to raise your numbers? Perfect. Uplevel your community nurture and willingness to put in some extra time and you’ll see results!
