How to Define Your Brand Characteristics

A brand is the way people talk about you when you’re not around.

It’s not about the physical business you do but the emotional connection your customers get. So here are the real questions you need to ask yourself.

  1. What do I do daily that’s a no brainer that my audience could also be doing?

  2. How do I get people to think about me in their day to day life?

Start here.

List five things that answer these questions. Next, choose the three most relatable ones [remember you want them to be relevant to your work and niche].

Some examples are: wide brim hats or other regularly worn outfit pieces, food and drinks you have, select fabrics and paints from your products, your kids, pets, etc.

Now, start snappin’. Write a sticky note on your mirror to remind you if you need, but remember to cycle through these three brand characteristics weekly on your grid and stories.
